WHO IS BALDOCASTER
Baldocaster is an English electronic artist who grew up listening to the funky French sounds of Daft Punk (and later, Justice) along with expansive synth-based film soundtracks of the ‘70s and‘80s.
Now living in the United States, his music combines strong grooves and driving rhythms with the ambience and melodic wonder of the scores of his childhood.
Baldocaster’s passion for electronic music snowballed after a trip up the east coast of the United States to get his hands on a Juno-60—and he hasn’t looked back.
From the UK to the US, Baldocaster has grown to become the Synthwave slammer!
‘Moonrise’ is the debut LP from an artist that has his feet firmly on the ground and his head far beyond the clouds. Our largest satellite, the Moon, is first on a journey into sound.
Inspiration for space flight has come in spades for Baldocaster, and you’ll become part of an education on humanity’s lust for the great void whilst exploring this LP.
Press play and you’ll be launched via ‘Sputnik’ into the smooth and dark silk of space before docking with ‘Station X’. Here, you’ll be taken through the mega-station towards ‘The Temple of The Sun’ as the moon rises in the middle-distance.
A sacred ‘Ritual’ must be completed before an engine can be fired in anger and a foot can be placed on its face. What you believe is dirt and decay is merely a shroud for the land that lies beneath. You must respect the Moon: All that is part of it, and all that dwell within it. Mind and matter must become one.
The conclusion comes ‘Here On Earth’ where Baldocaster takes you to an opening in a dense forest under the stars and listens to every word you speak. All knowledge of the Moon is passed to him as the Moon rises beyond your shoulder. Darkness is spread on Earth but the pale moonlight spreads within your every vein, pumping around your carbon complexity.
What did you discover up there? We must know!
But, alas, this is something that is beautiful, too beautiful. This can only be taken with you.
‘Moonrise’ by Baldocaster is a discovery waiting to happen. Do you dare to ignore, or do you dare to explore?
